100 degrees.....but who's counting?

I'm pretty sure the high today in San Antonio is 100 degrees. Oh my, that is HOT!!!! Wendy and I had planned to take the kids to the zoo before it got too hot.....clearly we missed that boat. We did manage to ride the train before we made our way into the zoo. Tyson was psyched for the train ride, Em on the other hand wasn't too sure about the train ride. "Det down, Emmy det down train....all done train," was her only comment about the whole situation.

Just waiting on Wendy and the boys to arrive so we can ride the train.

The kids playing in one of the best attractions the San Antonio Zoo has to offer......the Riverbank kids play area. It's like a giant kiddie pool with sand. Since we are expert zoo goers we know to pack the swimsuits and sun screen. Some of those tourists aren't so savvy. You often see kids running around in wet clothes.

This is Max, him and Emmy have been friends since the womb. He's a few months older. We actually used to have play dates for them when the big boys were in school. It looked sort of like this: two 3 month old babies lying on blankets looking at each other while Wendy and I watched the View and drank coffee. Then it progressed to two five month old babies sitting in the Bumbo looking at each other, also while Wendy and I drank coffee and anxiously waited for a cat fight to breakout between Rosie O'Donnel and Elisabeth Hassleback. Man, I miss those days.
