It's gonna take weeks to undo the spoiling that has occurred in 3 short days........

When I had originally asked Mom if she would would watch the kids while Paul and I had a "get away" weekend, I had no idea Dad was going to accompany her. Talk about extra cool for my kiddos. They were so excited Grandpa was coming too. A "get away" is not a common thing for Paul and I. We never hire a babysitter and we rarely have my mom watch the kids. Truth be told, it's Paul, NOT me. He has this thing.......he never wants to leave the "babies." Don't get me wrong, I love my kids but I do enjoy an occasional evening without them. It's nice to finish a sentence in the same hour you started and eat dinner out when regular people eat and by regular I mean not the senior citizen crowd or the 2 and under . So while Paul and I stayed downtown on the Riverwalk........the kids got lots of one-on-one attention from Grandma and Grandpa.

A trip to Starbucks to help energize everyone for the weekend.
My kids will take a vanilla milk box and a scone from Starbucks over a trip to Chik-fil-a. Go figure.

The kids hadn't been to Build-a-Bear in at least a year.

This might be one of my favorite pictures from the weekend. Great shot Mom!!!!

Or maybe this is my favorite! Dad and Tyson played basketball at least 2 times a day up at the school. Tyson has developed a new found love for dribbling and shooting. Hmmmm, I think I know what Santa may be bringing this Christmas.

Emmy played on the playground.......she wasn't much into the basketball scene.

They even took the kids swimming at Jennifer's house. Talk about a fantastic weekend! My parents left about two hours ago and Emmy is already asking, "when are grandma and grandpa coming back to my house?"
